The best time to visit Dubai

Winter sun, shoulder-season deals, and how to use summer rates to your advantage.

Dubai has three seasons from a visitor's point of view.

Peak (November – March)

Twenties by day, low teens at night. Blue sky, open beaches, every restaurant at capacity. Book 60–90 days out for the properties you actually want. Rates are 30–50% higher than the annual average.

Shoulder (April, October)

Thirties by day, nights still bearable. Beaches and pools open, fewer crowds, restaurants easier to book. Best value for first-time visitors — you still get the postcard Dubai without the peak-season premium.

Summer (May – September)

Forties by day, evenings in the thirties, humidity spikes in August. Outdoor events relocate indoors, but pools and beach clubs stay open (chilled pools are standard in our villas). Rates drop 30–40% and upgrades open up — it's not a bad time for a long-stay relocator who cares more about space and price than beach weather.

Key dates to know

  • Ramadan (moves each year; 2026: mid-February to mid-March). Reduced daytime hospitality, full evenings once iftar begins.
  • Eid Al-Fitr and Al-Adha. Huge GCC inbound — book further ahead.
  • New Year's Eve. Downtown and Palm both premium; NYE fireworks over the Burj and the Palm are unmatched.
  • Dubai Shopping Festival (January). Sales + fireworks + concerts, especially around Dubai Mall.

The short version

  • First-time visit → November or March
  • Best value → October or April
  • Long-stay → summer (save money, use the extra budget on experiences)
  • Worst month? There isn't one if you pick the right property — but August is closest.
